PD03 Uptake Of Health Technology Assessment In Hospitals: A Scoping Review

Introduction The use of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in hospitals contributes to decision-making, professional training, greater interaction with technical scientific knowledge, resource-saving, and partnerships. Hospitals are strategic for the field clinical management quality care open partnerships national international agencies groups. Despite hospital-based (HB)-HTA movement, incipient application HTA hospital decision-making process is related planning, there still much room progress worldwide. aim this study was analyze uptake level HB-HTA diverse contexts. Methods A scoping review conducted according methodology Joanna Briggs Institute, whose data analysis model consisted combination Donabedian’s structure, process, outcome categories dimensions project Adopting Hospital Based European Union (AdHopHTA). Results We identified 270 studies, after removing duplicates reading full texts, 36 references met eligibility criteria. Thirty-six were identified, which 24 largescale extra bed capacity. Twenty-three affiliated universities. Canada stood out five university hospitals, four public funding. Half had units (18/36). corresponded 75 percent sample (27/36), remainder partially HTA, or 25 (9/36). There no HTA. Conclusions Measuring contributed understanding how their participation has occurred HB-HTA. This revealed importance identifying factors such as sustainability, growth, evolution countries without a tradition field.
